Scientific/ Technical Objectives To obtain a better understanding of the earth's interior using (mainly) 2-D and 3-D wave equation modelling.

Role of NW-GRID The above modelling is computationally intensive and can be deployed effectively on relatively large numbers of processors. It is hoped that the current and planned NW-GRID facilities will be able to provide timely access to such a resource.
