STFC Single Sign-On

STFC staff in the possession of a FedId (Federal ID) can log onto the Daresbury SUN cluster as follows.

ssh -p 2223 dl1.nw-grid.ac.uk -l <FedId>

You will be asked for a password - this should be your Federal Passwd.

This mechanism should work for SSH and SCP from Linux, Windows or Mac clients. You will be mapped to an STFC user pool.
